Reverend Kyle Thomas is the newly appointed Pastor of Emanuel AME Church located in Hartly, DE. Reverend Thomas was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He was educated in the Philadelphia School System and is a graduate of the Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trade, the class of 1996, with an associate degree in Power Plant Technology.Reverend Thomas completed his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Eastern University (2017). Reverend Thomas earned his Master’s in Divinity from United Lutheran Theological Seminary (formerly known as Lutheran Theological Seminary) in May 2023. Having various background in the trades, Reverend Thomas studied plumbing at an early age and is highly skilled in the field of plumbing. Reverend Thomas love for music prepared him for self-entrepreneurship where he is now owner of his own DJ business. He has blessed many events, occasions, and venues with his love of gospel music. Throughout the Covid pandemic, God and the Holy Spirit led Reverend Thomas to inspire those who were going through some of the worst tragedies and times of their lives through the avenue of music. Reverend Thomas uses his love of music on Facebook to encourage, motivate, and inspire others with his weekly 2 hours “Praise Parties” held on Sunday evening. Many are still blessed by this ministry whenever broadcast currently. Reverend Thomas has been involved with various ministries within Philadelphia Conference. During the 2023 Fall Convocation, Bishop Julius H McAllister Sr appointed Reverend Thomas, the 1st Episcopal District President of the Sons of Allen. Reverend Thomas also serves as the Philadelphia Conference Coordinator for the Sons of Allen, and he is always looking to help wherever there is a need. Reverend Thomas is married to Tanisha Thomas, and they have 3 children Tasheera, Kyianna, and Kyle Jr. and a grandbaby (Yamna) who they affectionately call “Yummy”. Reverend Thomas favorite scripture is Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
