Reverend Vera V. Worthy is a native of Virginia. Rev. Worthy received her license to preach in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, September 2001 and was ordained a Local Deacon, March 2004 and a Local Elder April 2006. Rev. Worthy has held the positions of Delaware Conference Missionary Society Worship Director, Conference President of the Minister's Spouses Widows Widowers Organization Plus PKs. Currently she serves as the First District Treasurer and Connectional Chair. Rev. Worthy is the wife of Rev. Richard H. Worthy, Presiding Elder of the Wilmington District of the Delaware Annual Conference and she serves as the consultant. Rev. Worthy is an Associate at New Elizabeth African Methodist Episcopal Church, Newark, Delaware.
